Android which was developed by Google has become one of the hottest operating system for smartphones. Its capacity doesn't stop, it now advances to tablet market. Some media internet tablets powered by Android OS have appeared in this market with customer's interest.

Archos is well-known for its Archos internet tablets group. Archos 5 powered by Android, has many version for customers. Its disk capacity is the in the lead right now. There is one with 500Gb of storage capacity. With this, your Archos 5 can store up to 148,000 songs. Its two main features are internet connection and media player. It supports major type of media format: MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AAC+, FLAC, and OGG Vorbis audio formats, MPEG-4, MPEG-4 HD (up to 720p), H.264 HD (up to 720p), WMV, and M-JPEG video formats; JPG, BMP, PNG, and GIF image files. Battery can handle 10 hours of audio or 4 hours of video on a single charge. The TFT LCD touchscreen, 4.8-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 16 million colors, is a little bigger than a normal cellphone so it fits your palm and pocket.
Its brother is the Archos 7. It inherits all features of the Archos 5 but with some boosts. For example, its battery can handle up to 39 hours music and 10 hours video playback time on a single charge. The TFT LCD touchscreen is bigger, 7 inches.

Samsung Galaxy S is a big success in phone market. Following this success, Samsung releases its tablet version this year, the Galaxy Tab. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab, equipped with 1024x600 resolution,runs Android with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top. The Samsung Galaxy Tab's dimension is equal to 1/2 of the iPad, its longest side is almost the same as the width of the iPad. The touchscreen is a big hit, it feels comfortable as on the Samsung Galaxy S, a great combo of Samsung's screen and Google's Android.

Augen Gentouch 78 silently joined media internet tablet market with an expected price. It was spotted in the latest Kmart Weekly Circular, priced at $149.99 up until the end of the month, and will apparently run Android 2.1 on an unspecified 800MHz CPU complete with WiFi and 2GB of storage. With 256Mb of RAM and an SDHC card slot for extra storage, it is a strong machine compare to its price.

With Android 3.x is coming, we expect more great media internet tablets coming this year.
